Working for Israel in War and Peace

ISEF Scholars Efrat Birvadker (left) and Chagi Mastbaum (right) are just two of
dozens of ISEF students called up to defend their country in Operation Protective Edge.

Efrat, whose family hails from India, is an outstanding ISEF scholar in Jerusalem when she's not on emergency reserve duty. Chagi is an officer in the reserves and a Dean's List engineering student at ORT-Braude College in the Galilee. Both Efrat and Chagi are active volunteers, mentoring youth in ISEF's learning centers and college prep programs. Chagi praised ISEF's "tremendous impact on my academic success and my drive to excel."

We pray for their safe return, and for the safety of all who are bravely defending Israel.

YOUR SUPPORT IS VITAL

During the present crisis, ISEF is working to support its nearly 400 students and their families, offering emergency aid to reservists who've had to leave summer jobs behind to defend their country, and assisting any students and families in need, particularly in the South. Our staff members are in touch with each student to give vital assistance and comfort.

Many of ISEF's students and graduates have been called up for emergency military service as part of Operation Protective Edge. We pray for the welfare of all our soldiers and all of Israel's citizens.

We are deeply grateful to you, our friends and partners, for your heartfelt concern and steadfast commitment to our mission, even in time of war. Despite the difficult situation, we remain focused on our students' well-being - and that of Israel as a whole.

Our students and their struggling families need our help now more than ever.  Please help us support them! Thank you for all that you do.
