INTERNATIONAL FELLOWS JOIN 
ISRAEL'S TOP UNIVERSITY FACULTIES
The ISEF Foundation is proud to announce that two of our outstanding alums from Harvard University, will be joining the prominent faculties of Israel's finest academic institutions.

Dr. Shenhav Cohen, who conducted post doctoral research in muscle atrophy at the Cell Biology Department of Harvard Medical School as an International Fellow, accepted a tenure-track position at the Faculty of Biology of Technion Institute in Haifa.
 
 
Dr. Shay Lavie, who earned his J.S.D at Harvard University Law School, accepted a tenure-track position at Tel Aviv University's Faculty of Law this fall.  
 
We are elated to see our young students through every step of their academic journeys, and excited for their successful return to Israel, role models to the next generation of Israeli youth.  
 
"AN EVENING FOR ISEF" IS A NIGHT TO REMEMBER 
Nearly 100 guests attended "An Evening for ISEF" on Wednesday, February 27th, at the beautiful home of Albert and Nancy Nasser in New York City. 
 
This truly memorable night showcased the dazzling work of artist Ron Agam and featured a mind-bending performance by real life "mentalist" Marc Salem. 
 
ISEF President Nina Weiner gave a heartfelt thanks to the exceptional hosts of the evening - Esther Bier, Michelle Maleh and Sally Shalom- who worked tirelessly to make this special event possible.

ISEF International Fellows Dr. Moshe Elkabets and Dr. Meital Balmas-Cohen thanked ISEF and its supporters for helping to transform their lives through the power of education. 
 
Dr. Elkabets, who began his post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, recently joined the incredible team of cancer researchers at Memorial-Sloan Kettering as an Associate Scientist. Dr. Balmas-Cohen is pursuing her post-doctoral research in Political Science at Columbia University and has accepted a tenure-track position at The Hebrew University in the upcoming academic year.  
 
Friends of ISEF, old and new, enjoyed a spectacular evening of art and wonder, a special tasting of Israeli wines, and a Chinese Auction with over a dozen exclusive prizes and packages.

2013 Leadership Seminar

ISEF's annual Leadership Seminar took place last weekend in the northern city of Nazareth-Ilit, attended by over 500 ISEF students from universities and colleges throughout Israel. 

 Also in attendance were many of our alumni, partners, lecturers, and members of the ISEF-Israel Executive Board. 

 

 

 This year's seminar, 

"From Social Gaps to Social Responsibility," was led by retired Supreme Court Judge and President of the Press Council, Judge Dalia Dorner

Knesset Member Merav Michaeli, Rabbi Haim Amsalem, Prof. Daniel Gutwein, ISEF alumna Dr. Yifat Bitton, and Guy Rolnik, founder and editor of The Marker, Israel's leading financial newspaper.
