Dear Parents and Guardians,

We have lots to celebrate this week!  Catholic Schools Week Mass and Open House had a wonderful turn out.  We enjoyed seeing all our Cardinal families.  Many thanks to everyone who helped make our event a success!  Throughout the week we will continue celebrating Catholic education as a school community.

Each classroom showcased wonderful projects this week.  Some of these included fourth grade's Biography Bottle Buddies, fifth grade's Inventions, and sixth grade's Consumer Fair projects.

Our 7th graders have also meticulously worked on their History Fair projects about the history of Chicago. The winners in the Website category are Jon Ramicone, Luke Alpe, Adriana Serrano, and Ellie Wangard.  The winners in the Research Paper category are Sean Mulcrone and Emily Vranek.  The Documentary winners are Blake Otrusina and Sophia Ciampaglia.  The Performance winner is Katie Clifford.

Our 8th graders have worked diligently the last few weeks to prepare their Science Fair projects to present to a panel of judges.  Each project was fantastic and all students should be proud of their achievements.  Please help us in congratulating our winners: JP Noga, Kaitlyn Cassidy, Jack Petrak, Patrick Townsend, Katie Hart, and Maddie Cranny.

I consider myself blessed to be part of such a wonderful school community.  Happy Catholic Schools Week!

It's always a great day to be a Cardinal!
In Peace,

Lauren Lewandowski
