Dear Parents,

Our fifth graders did a wonderful job in their performance last week. A huge thanks goes to Mr. Nemec and the fifth grade teachers for all their hard work.

Students have been celebrating Red Ribbon Week.  They are respecting themselves and being drug free!  Student Council planned fun events for all our students including crazy socks day to "sock out drugs"; pajama day to "press the snooze button on drugs"; and they even encouraged students to make healthy choices. On Friday, students will "scare away drugs" and wear their costumes.  Please see costume guidelines below.

Our third and fourth graders had the opportunity to be the first students at St. Cletus this week to take the Aspire Interim assessment. Third grade took math, and fourth grade took the reading test on the computer during TLC. Our hope is to gradually expose students in grades 3-8 before the April summative test date. Stay tuned for more information on this topic.

Happy Halloween!
It's ALWAYS a great day to be a Cardinal!

Sincerely,

Lauren Lewandowski

Halloween Celebration
This year, we will celebrate Halloween at school on Friday, October 30, with parties and costumes.  K-8 students should come dressed for the morning in your costumes, ensuring to adhere to the guidelines listed below.  Class dismissal on the 30th will be at 11:30 a.m., and there will be NO Aftercare.

  • Costumes must be comfortable.
  • Leave all props at home: wands, gloves, brooms, whistles, etc.
  • No masks; try make-up instead.  Remember, the children will be wearing this make-up all day.
  • Wear comfortable shoes--gym shoes are preferred.  We will still have gym class and recess.
  • Costumes must be school appropriate--NO violent or gory costumes, such as Freddy, Jason, etc.  However, skeletons, witches, Dracula, etc. are fine.

Milk Billing
The billing for milk charges has been posted to FACTS' Incidental Expenses accounts.  This year's milk charge is $15.00 per daily milk ordered for the entire school year.  Payment is due 30 days from the date of posting.

FACTS Incidental Expenses accounts must be initialized by the account holder.  If you set up Auto Pay last year, you will not need to do this again for the 2015-16 school year.  Auto Pay is an option you may choose to automatically pay all of your Incidental fees, such as extended care and milk, on a day of the month that you have chosen.  If you do not wish to use Auto Pay, then you will need to schedule each payment individually by its due date.
