Dear Parents,

Thank you to all who attended our Family Mass this past Sunday.  We had a wonderful turnout!  Stay tuned for more opportunities to celebrate Mass this way.  We had a beautiful ribbon ceremony for 8th grade yesterday!  Thanks to all the parents who joined us and to all the faculty who helped make it a success. 

May is the month of our Blessed Mother, so please join me in taking time out from your day to say the Rosary, a Hail Mary, or the Memorare as a family.  The Blessed Mother has always been a source of comfort and joy to me, and who doesn't need that these days?

Finally, a big THANK YOU for all the volunteering you have done this year to keep St. Cletus running smoothly.  Please check your family envelope for some wonderful opportunities to volunteer next year.  From Annual Fund to the Auction and everything in between--WE NEED YOU!   E-mail or call Jolene today and let her know what you are interested in.  Remember "Many hands make light work!"

Dress Down Day, Thursday, April 30

       Student Council is hosting a "Spirit Wear" Dress Down Day on Thursday, April 30.  All proceeds ($1.00 per student) will go to "Operation Enduring Care," which is a charity that helps recovering veterans.  Thank you for your support!

St. Cletus Golf Outing, Friday, June 26

       Mark your calendar, call your foursome, and get ready for the St. Cletus Golf Outing.  This year's Outing is Friday, June 26, at Gleneagles Country Club in Lemont with a 1:30 p.m. "Shotgun Start."

Support Our Annual Fund

       The Annual Fund drive will end on June 30.  So far we have raised $27,858.  Our goal is $30,000.  We only need about $2,100 to reach our goal!  No gift is too small.  Please consider making a donation to support our school.  Submit your check (payable to "St. Cletus School") to the school office, or click HERE to pay on-line.  Thank you!

EPI School Supply Kits, 2015-16

       Get a jump start on next year and order your school supply kits now!  There are two options for ordering:

       1) Complete the hard copy order form sent home in last week's family envelope or access the form HERE. Please return forms to the school office by Friday, June 5.  No sales tax will be incurred using this option.

       2) Visit the EPI Website, enter school ID # STC058, and order your kits directly until June 12 (sales tax will be applied).

       School Supply Kits are offered to families as a convenient way to purchase school supplies.  Families who prefer to purchase supplies on their own should use this Supply List, which is also located on the school's website.

Second Annual La Grange Wiffle Ball Tournament

       Once again the St. Cletus Fathers' Club is hosting the La Grange wiffle ball tournament.  This year's tournament is Saturday, June 13.  In addition to the tournament this year, we have added a kids' tournament and "Home Run Derby" for grade school ages.  Download the Flyer and Registration Form today!

       Every year the Athletic Association presents the Frank Kwak Award to a deserving individual for emulating Catholic values, hard work, dedication and unselfish service to the students and athletic programs of St. Cletus School.

       The St. Cletus Family School Association is looking to fill the following positions for the 2015-16 school year: vice president, secretary, and treasurer.  Please e-mail Robin Bourjaily or Nikki Gorman if you are interested.  This is a great way to get involved at St. Cletus, and we would love to have you!

Vacation Bible School

       Get ready for an exciting adventure this summer!  VBS is back at St. Cletus.  Join us for "EVEREST," the fun, interactive way to spend your summer vacation!

       Our VBS will be held June 15-19, from 9 a.m. until 12:00 noon.  Children who will be in 4-yr.-old pre-school through 3rd grade for the next academic year are welcome to register.

       The fee for VBS is $35.00 per child or $60.00 for two children.  Registration forms are available on the Parish Website or in the school office.

       Enrollment is limited, so make sure you sign up on April 11 or 12 or as soon as possible!  If you have a child in jr. high or high school, we need volunteers to be teen leaders for VBS!  All teens and adults interested in volunteering should contact the RE Office at (708) 352-2383.  

Pass It On Donation Challenge

       Beginning April 1, Student Council is encouraging all St. Cletus students, teachers, and families to donate items (clothing and household goods) to Goodwill.  Goodwill is hosting a competition during the month of April.  The school with the greatest number of items donated will receive a visit from Chicago Blackhawks' Patrick Sharp!  Students may bring the items in to school and add them to their classroom's collection box, or the items may be taken directly to your nearest Goodwill location.  If the items are taken directly to Goodwill, simply indicate our school name (St. Cletus), city (La Grange), and number of items donated on the slip provided to you by the Goodwill Donation attendant.

       We will collect items at school up until April 30.  Only donations made between April 1 and April 30 will count!  Besides trying to win a visit from a Chicago Blackhawks champion, it's a great way for St. Cletus to support our neighboring communities.  If you have any questions, e-mail Mrs. Doyle, Mrs. Gridelli,  or Sra. Hanson.  Thank you in advance for all of your help!

       Mark your calendars--Sports Awards are Thursday, May 7, at 7:00 p.m. in Morrissey Hall.  Please dress appropriately (no jeans), and arrive on time.  The Awards will start promptly at 7:00 p.m.

Attention All 8th Grade Girls Volleyball Players and Boys Basketball Players

       8th Grade Day will be Friday, May 8.  The volleyball game will be played at 12:45 p.m., and basketball will be played at 1:45 p.m.
