It is good to be back in school after a wonderful holiday break.  There are some great happenings coming up this month that I hope you will attend:

 

FSA/Athletic Association's "Winter Fest" on the 9th (pre-school thru grade 3)

Cardinal Pursuit on the 16th;

All-school Mass on the 20th;

Catholic Schools Week Mass and Open House on the 25th; and

The Erin Potts Tournament from the 30th through February 1st.

SCHOOL AND PARISH NEWS

Dress Down Day is Tomorrow, January 8

       Thursday, January 8, will be a Student Council Dress Down Day.  Students will be able to show off their spirit wear or favorite red or white top for $1.00.  The proceeds will be going to the St. Cletus Student Council, which will help purchase the end-of-year gift for St. Cletus School.

Trivia Night

       Come One, Come All to St. Cletus (Morrissey Hall) on January 16 for our annual Trivia Night!  Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

       Form a team of 8-12 players and compete for the coveted title of "St. Cletus Trivia Master."  The cost is only $10.00 per person, payable at the door.  All proceeds will benefit the St. Cletus Athletic Association.

       Bring your own food and drink and hang out with friends on this fun-filled evening.  Look for a team sign-up form in this week's family envelope or reserve your table today by e-mailing Chris Bourjaily.

ALOHA!  The "Lei'd Back Luau" Spring Auction is Only Eight Weeks Away!

       Please plan to join your friends and fellow Cardinal parents on March 7 at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of fun!  Invitations will go home in an upcoming family envelope.

FSA's "Winter Fest," Friday, January 9, Students in Pre-K through Grade 3 and Their Younger Siblings

       Winter Fest is Friday, January 9, 2015, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Morrissey Hall.  Please consider helping out by volunteering your time and/or donating to the event.

       We still have MANY student service volunteer slots available as well as slots for parents to help that evening.  Any questions, please e-mail Lupe McKeehan or call (312) 823-9152.

2015-16 Re-Enrollment (Current Families)

       School families received an e-mail/letter from Mrs. Hillgoth and Ms. Hayes with instructions for on-line re-enrollment and a link to the FACTS Management site for your $50.00 deposit.

       Please Note: to prevent late fees, we scheduled the re-enrollment deposit due date for May 2015.  Auto Pay families' accounts are scheduled to withdraw this payment in May, unless you schedule it sooner. So, we are asking all families, including those using Auto Pay, to schedule your deposit now.  Please visit your FACTS Incidental Expenses account and open the 2015-16 school year to make your payment. 

       St. Cletus School enrollment is now open to the general public, and class openings are available to all on a first-come, first-served basis.  If you haven't re-enrolled, please do so now.  Thank you.

School Supplemental Supplies

       It is now time for families with children in grades pre-k through 7 whose last name begins with N through Z to bring in your supplemental supplies indicated on the 2014-2015 School Supply List.  First grade does not require any supplemental supplies, and eighth grade families brought in their supplies at start of school in August.

Aftercare Notifications

       Please contact the school office NO LATER THAN 2:00 p.m. for Aftercare notifications.  The office needs plenty of time to get your messages to your child(ren)'s teachers.

       Ask your friends and family to save their Box Tops!  Every Box Top donated to our school is worth ten cents. We earned over $2,000 last year.  If you have questions about the Box Tops program, or if your student would like to earn service hours counting Box Tops, e-mail Ann Foley.
