February 5, 2014

Dear Parents,

I am thrilled to share some very exciting news with you.  St. Cletus has been nominated for the Blue Ribbon Award!  We have not yet won the Award but we have passed a major hurdle by being nominated.  We now send our application to the U.S. Department of Education for their consideration.  We unfortunately have to wait until August or September to receive word if we have won or not.  The original application was sent just before Christmas, and we just received word of our nomination last Thursday.

You should be very proud of your students, the faculty, and the staff who have worked so hard to get us here.  I am very thankful for and proud of  the faculty team who worked on the extensive application, especially Ms. Lewandowski who was the chair of our team.  So as they say in Hollywood, "It is an honor just to be nominated," but through good thoughts and prayers and continued hard work, I hope we take home that ultimate prize in September!

Sincerely,

Margaret M. Hayes

Principal
