Your 4th of July Body Plan — Part 2!Weeks 5-8 With that said, once you've made it through Week 4 it's time to up it another notch. Everything from Weeks 1 – 4 still applies but now we start to get real. "We weren't real before?" you ask. I mean the kind of real where you confront how badly you want a healthier version of yourself. Because things should start to feel uncomfortable now. I mean that in a positive way. If you are comfortable I question your progress. These are the weeks you'll make an honest person out of yourself. Make that happen! CLICK HERE to read more and view weeks 5-8 of the plan.
Ask and it’ll get answered in this space next newsletter! This week’s question: “Will eating carbs at night make me fat?” Nope. This one’s definitely a myth. However, let me preface this with the fact that there is a benefit to skimping on carbs (except veggies) before bedtime simply because it’s fewer calories you’re sleeping on at night (the full explanation for that is another newsletter). But as far as carbs at night making you fat – simply not true. Eating carbs at night increases both leptin (the hormone that tells you you’re full) and insulin, so by the time you wake up you won’t feel ravenous. Just make sure that if you do opt for carbs you watch your portions, choose healthy carbs (try quinoa!), include fiber (such as eating the skin on potatoes) and drink plenty of water and/or herbal tea (thirst is often confused for hunger).
