6 simple ways... to become a better leader
  1. Tell a story. Read this Forbes article to see how it can help you become more relatable and inspiring.
  2. Be a team player. Make sure your voice isn't always the loudest in the room. See where other's can contribute and challenge them to do so.
  3. Encourage creativity. Even the simplest tasks can be improved upon when given enough thought. Give people a destination, but let them find their own way to get there.
  4. Listen. Actively hear what someone is sharing with you. Genuinely be interested in what they have to say.
  5. Reward and recognize. Don't let hard work go unnoticed. Showing appreciation will gain you respect, will help build trust and will make others feel good about themselves.
  6. Be present and participate. When you're with others, engage in the conversation. Step away from the cell phone!
