Best Day of My Life in Lake County
Visit Lake County has launched a music video, utilizing the song, 'Best Day of My Life' by American Authors. The video features Lake County musician Justin Yates singing his own version of the song and showcases various attractions around Lake County. Look for Lake County Board Chairman, Aaron Lawlor who makes a cameo appearance. Watch
Lake County Board of Review 2014 Rules Commenting Period
The Lake County Board of Review will be accepting comments and/or suggestions regarding their Rules for the 2014 appeal season. All suggestions or comments for the Board's consideration should be emailed to the Board of Review by Sunday, June 29.

Forest Preserves Save Taxpayers $2.6 Million in Savings
Due to successful refinancing, Lake County Taxpayers will be saving more than $2.6 million in interest payments from limited debt bonds, used to preserve open space, restore wildlife habitat, create new trails and improve public access to preserves. More
Possible Discounts on Flood Insurance Policies
Residents in unincorporated Lake County may be able to save up to 20% on their flood insurance policies. Lake County is recertified each year through FEMA based on our floodplain and building code regulations and community information and education. With this rating, there is a potential savings of up to $227 per policy, saving Lake County residents $244,290 annually.
