DAY OF DECISION
As Pride Weekend approaches, a decision is imminent from the U.S. Supreme Court on two same-sex marriage cases: DOMA and Prop H8. No matter your feelings about marriage as an institution, the court's decision in these cases will have far-reaching consequences for the health and well-being of LGBT people and their families for generations to come. PINK SATURDAYOn June 29, the CCC is once again joining the fabulous Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to help make Pink Saturday safe and fun, while also earning needed funds for the Club and other community organizations. Please consider signing up for a fun volunteer shift 6pm-10:15pm collecting donations at the gates at Pink Saturday in the Castro. Sign up now at
thesisters.org and use the join code: FELLOWSHIP to ensure that the CCC will earn $100 for your volunteer efforts!
Also on Pink Saturday, DJ Hotwire and friends will be throwing a
fabulous dance party on the street in front of the CCC. Don't miss it and bring your dancing shoes - this will be a lot of fun!
SF PRIDE PARADE & CELEBRATIONTo celebrate our 30th anniversary, for the first time ever the Castro Country Club will have a contingent in the SF Pride Parade!
We will be meeting at the parade starting point on Second Street between Market and Mission at 9:30am on Sunday, June 30, 2013. We will carry our 30th Anniversary banner followed by the two reigning gorgeous Miss CCC's riding in an open convertible. Wear something festive and fabulous, we are not a glum lot!
