A 30 Year MilestoneSteve Harris founded the Castro Country Club in April 1983 as a refuge from the bars in the neighborhood. With help from manager Joe Healy and other volunteers, the CCC was a popular hang-out for gay men and women to support each other while seeking recovery from alcoholism and addiction. The CCC has changed a lot since then, but it remains true to the same core principles. This April, we will celebrate three decades of service to the recovery communities of San Francisco. We look forward to commemorating this milestone with all of you. We owe a special debt of gratitude to all those who came before us and paved the way so that we could find sobriety and a new life among our fellows. As we begin the New Year, we'd like to offer our thanks to all the volunteers and patrons of the last 30 years, and special thanks to our donors and community partners of 2012.
