2015 Matching Grant Program
The 2015 Matching Grant Applications are now available on our website.

In an effort to support local tourism projects that attract out-of-area visitors and provide long-term economic benefits to the Walla Walla Valley, Tourism Walla Walla announced this week that it is accepting applications for approximately $15,000 in grants as part of the organization's 2015 Tourism Matching Fund Grant Program.

"Tourism Walla Walla is thrilled to be in a position to provide financial support to the organizations and events that in turn support our goals and objectives," said Ron Peck, Executive Director of Tourism Walla Walla. "Providing the community with much-needed marketing dollars to grow events that help generate overnight visitation is a win-win for everyone involved."

The goal of the grant program is to increase visitation to the Walla Walla Valley, particularly during the offseason period from November through March, as well as Sunday through Thursday visitation during peak season. Funds will be earmarked for tourism marketing outside of the region, using vehicles such as radio, TV, print or web-based advertising or trade show exhibits.

Applications are due to Tourism Walla Walla by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 7. Funds are available to non-profits and government agencies for projects occurring Jan. 1, 2015 through Dec. 31, 2015. Program details and application forms are available at Tourism Walla Walla, 14 E. Main Street, Ste. 209, or by clicking here.

If you know of a non-profit or local agency that might be interested in applying for a matching grant from Tourism Walla Walla, please forward them this email.

February is for Foodies
It is never too early to start planning.

We are in the beginning stages of preparing for February is for Foodies.  Similar to last year we will be partnering with local restaurants and wineries to create excitement for the visitor to come to Walla Walla during the month of February.

Last year restaurants offered special menus and wineries offered tastings paired with chocolates.  If you are interested in offering something special during the month of February please let us know.
