Get in the Holiday Spirit! Stroll the Holiday Windows in Port Townsend!
Historic Districts Merchant Window Contest
Dozens of businesses in Port Townsend have designed sparkling windows which celebrate the holiday spirit in imaginative and colorful ways. The theme for The Port Townsend Main Street Program's Holiday Window Contest was
"Ring in the Holidays, Look Here First" and the contest encouraged the use of sleigh bells, wreaths and lights in the displays. Special thanks to the Port Townsend & Jefferson County Leader for collaborating on the People's Choice Window Contest. The winners received Rotary wreaths, and a display certificate. Getables also won $100 certificate to use towards 2016 Main Street Promotions. Tickled Pink won $100 in Leader web advertising. Congrats to everyone for a job well done, it looks very merry in town! CONGRATULATIONS!

We honor KPTZ 91.9 FM, Port Townsend's Radio Station!
KPTZ 91.9 FM has a very small staff, a dedicated board, and sixty active volunteers which keep it ticking. They connect with our community in numerous ways, and offer exemplary service. They are an engaged sponsor for Main Street's Concerts on the Dock, and we feel this has been key to expanding the audience for these shows. Xoe Huffman and Mari Mullen Present Beverly Malagon
with the "Main Street Champion Award"
BEVERLY MALAGON was honored as the 2015 Main Street Champion!
This award is bestowed upon an individual who demonstrates leadership, helps the Main Street Program further its mission, and makes a difference in our community.
This year, we honor Beverly Malagon, a member of our community who is a valuable board and committee member. Beverly is very generous to the Port Townsend Main Street Program with her resources, time and talents. She leads by example. She keeps up the Kuhn building well, is known as a fair landlord and was one of the first building owners to purchase snowflakes for her downtown building via the Main Street Holiday Lights Matching Fund. She has volunteered at many Main Street events and as Security at Concerts on the Dock. She is an active Main Street member. She stepped in to serve as our Treasurer when we needed her. She is hands-on and assists with lighting through our lighting program. When you call Beverly for help, she steps in with smart insights and a positive attitude! Thank you Beverly!
VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
THANK YOU BICKIE STEFFAN!
This year, we name BICKIE STEFFAN of Bickie's Cotton Casuals, as our Volunteer of the Year!
Bickie started volunteering with us five years ago on the Promotion Committee. This year, her participation has been exceptional! She has planned and worked on numerous events, and she is always willing to pitch in. She was a huge help at Concerts on the Dock. When we contact Bickie for assistance she says, "I Can Do That." She is a problem-solver, and volunteers with a positive attitude. She is an active member. She is very involved on the Promotion Committee and she is a seasoned retailer who offers great input. She's made trophies for the Uptown Street Fair, participated in parades and photo opps, delivered flyers, donated generously, stuffed many many goodie bags for Girls Night Out, and followed up with stores to encourage participation in our promotions. Thank you Bickie!
We would like to thank everyone for a successful 2015 and we look forward to a bright 2016!
