Bells, lights, wreaths and greenery encouraged. The Port Townsend Main Street Program office still has sleigh bells available ($16/package of 144). Give us a jingle if you need more.
Two Prizes Will Be Awarded:
People's Choice Award (voted by the public): Prize includes a Rotary Holiday Swag, an awards certificate and photo opp, and a LEADER Web Square Ad for one week--Total value $135.
Main Street Merriest Window (nominated by Main Street Selection Committee): Prize includes a Rotary Holiday Wreath, an awards certificate and photo opp, a Main Street ornament, and $100 gift certificate to be used towards the 2016 Main Street Promotions of your choice. Total value $135.

Friday, November 27, Black Friday, Let the Shopping Begin! There are thousands of great gift ideas right here in our hometown, "Look Here First!"
Saturday, November 28, "Merchant Open House" and Small Business Saturday - celebrate local businesses by Shopping Small! Caroling in the streets with the Wild Rose Chorale Uptown and Downtown from 2-4 pm, in-store treats, many shops open later til 7 pm. Get a jump on holiday shopping by "Looking Here First!"
Nov. 27 & 28, Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair. Juried arts and crafts fair at the Port Townsend Community Center in Uptown. Coordinated by the Port Townsend Arts Guild.
Dec. 1, Giving Tuesday
There's Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Giving Tuesday! It's a new tradition of giving, a global day of giving back and celebrating generosity. Support the nonprofit of your choice, including the Port Townsend Main Street Program. Our mission is to foster economic vitality and preservation of place within our historic business districts...while maintaining our small town quality of life. From hanging flower baskets, litter clean up, historic preservation efforts to coordinating 25 special events in 2015, we are dedicated to the prosperity of Uptown and Downtown. In 2014, our volunteers donated 1,765 hours in service to our community. We offer retail promotions, online tools for building and business owners, clean the Cotton Building Restrooms, care for 120+ seasonal flower baskets, decorate Port Townsend for the holidays and support youth art programs. Our local Main Street Program collaborates with 20+ nonprofits annually. When you donate to The Port Townsend Main Street Program, you give back to our community. Thank you!

Treelighting & Santa Visit at Haller Fountain. There's caroling in the streets with the Wild Rose Chorale from 1-3 pm, in-store refreshments and many shops will be open later. Come to Haller Fountain for the annual Community treelighting and Santa visit at 4:30 pm. Santa arrives by the
Kiwanis Choo Choo to light the community tree. After the Treelighting, Santa visits with children to hear their Christmas wishes at the Pope Marine Building. ptmainstreet.org

Victorian Yuletide Festival from 11 am-3 pm. Take a break from shopping, scurrying, and worrying - step out of the weather and into a welcoming Victorian parlor to savor an Olde Time Christmas in the historical Cotton Building. Father Christmas greets you amidst the sounds and scents of the season. Goodies and music abound.. Coordinated by Olympic Peninsula Steam.

Holiday Homes Tour coordinated by Victorian Society of America, NW Chapter. Not only will you have the opportunity to sit and enjoy a Victorian reception in the elegant parlors of these vintage homes, but you will also be invited to imbibe in delectable refreshments while visiting with the homeowners and docents, and listening to music of the season.
Yuletide Ball at Fort Worden Chapel, coordinated by Olympic Peninsula Steam. Whether you rock gears and goggles, bustle or bowler, come dance the dark away with Olympic Express Big Band's sassy, brassy horns for an evening of dancing.

Kiwanis Choo-Choo Rides for children; suggested $5 donation (proceeds benefit school arts education and music programs). Meet across from the Jefferson Museum of Art and History from 1-4 pm, 540 Water Street.
Open Parlor Tours, coordinated by Olympic Peninsula Steam. Tour beautifully decorated 19th Century buildings and homes with historically costumed docents, seasonal music, and holiday treats. Port Townsend's world-famous B&B's and historical hotels open their doors to welcome you. Old Consulate Inn, Commander's Beach House, Quimper Inn, Bishop Victorian Hotel, tickets $15/person.
December 31, First Night Celebration - Admission by donation: suggested $5 per person, $10 for a family. Ring in the new year with the Jefferson Museum of Art and History which coordinates this all-ages, alcohol-free event featuring live music and children's activities.

"Fill the Bus with Toys"
A Message from Kiwanis: The Port Townsend Kiwanis Club is sponsoring the 4th annual Port Townsend Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. This program is intended to ensure every underprivileged child in Jefferson County experiences a joyful holiday season. They are seeking NEW, unwrapped toys or cash; all donations remain in Jefferson County. Look for collection boxes and cash canisters at numerous businesses in Port Townsend, Port Hadlock, Chimacum, and Port Ludlow.
The hundreds of children in Jefferson County who benefit from this program need your support. THANK YOU...
