Nov. 27, Black Friday--kick off of Main Street "Look Here First" local shopping campaign. RING IN THE HOLIDAYS IN PORT TOWNSEND - "Look Here First!" for holiday experiences; from shopping and dining to magical events, Port Townsend is packed with holiday fun this season. There are thousands of gifts right here in our historic seaport and arts community. When you buy locally, it gives back to our economy, which is a gift to our community. Individually-owned businesses offer the personal touch and are a welcome contrast to anonymous malls. Gifts from our destination stores, Port Townsend restaurant gift certificates, movie passes, theatre tickets, and local artwork are examples of thoughtful gifts your loved ones will remember long after the holidays.

Parentmap recently ran an article Recharge Card: Fantastic Retreat Options for Seattle-area Moms and named Fort Worden as a place to learn woodworking by the sea or enjoy a workshop with the
Centrum Foundation. What they failed to mention is the many Day Spas, Fantastic Restaurants and Yoga Studios we also have, now that's what many moms need to recharge...beautiful scenery with peace and quiet!

Port Townsend was also named as one of the 10 Most Beautiful Towns in Washington by The Culture Trip. "In addition to the wonderful eateries, galleries, and shops found in Port Townsend, the town also hosts many events throughout the year, including the Victorian Festival and award-winning theatrical productions at Key City Public Theatre."
