Board Minute ~ By Amy Smith
Hello!
I'm in my first year as a Board Member for Port Townsend Main Street and I just became Secretary of the Board in June. I've lived in Port Townsend for the majority of the last fifteen years. In addition to being the Executive Director of The Boiler Room (the county's longest running non-profit coffee shop and social services hub), I am a member of United Good Neighbor's Campaign Cabinet, on the Steering Committee for Get Connected Jefferson, a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and a member of the Rotary Club of Port Townsend. I also give my time to fundraisers for several organizations in town, including the Northwest School of Wooden Boat Building, the YMCA and Centrum.
I love, as a Board Member, finding out all of the amazing ways in which the PT Main Street Program serves our community. You can thank Main Street for the "portolettes," for the hanging flower baskets, for Girl's Night Out and for (the big one this month!) CONCERTS ON THE DOCK. Come see me introduce Locust Street Taxi on July 16!
