April 15, Wooden Boat Wednesday at the Northwest Maritime Center from 12-1:30 pm--First Solo Circumnavigation by Human Power.

April 16, Welcome back American Cruise Lines! The cruise ship will dock at Union Wharf Thursdays around 10 am starting April 16th - June 11th and again Aug. 20th - Nov. 5th, 2015. 
 
April 17, Open-Mic Poetry Night at Pippa's Real Tea, 636 Water St., 5-7 pm. 
 
Labor Leaders will be helping paint the Tyler St. staircase for Earth Day.
April 18Earth Day Spring Clean-Up  It's time to spruce up storefronts, order flower baskets, sweep  sidewalks and beautify our corner of the world. The Port Townsend Main Street Program is refurbishing three picnic tables at Adams Street Park, painting Tyler Street staircase and plans are in the works for a "parklet" through our Design Committee. Since its founding in 1879, the Jefferson County Historical Society has celebrated April as Founders' Month.  For its 136th birthday in 2015, the society will hold two public events, a Volunteer Fair on April 18 and a Research Center Open House on April 26. The Volunteer Fair will be held in the Cotton Building on Saturday, April 18 from noon until 3 pm.  Interested individuals are invited to drop in, enjoy refreshments, meet staff and board members, and learn about volunteering at JCHS.

Spring is here--time to beautify Port Townsend with Hanging Flower Baskets. Order baskets through Henery's Garden Center, order form here, email to henerysgardencenter@olypen.com. The Port Townsend Main Street Program hires an independent gardening assistant (Thank you Tara!) to make sure the baskets will receive top care and attention for the full season, 21 weeks!
