JANUARY EVENTS
Jan. 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR'S DAY!

7 pm, held in the historic Port Townsend City Council Chambers, 540 Water St., 360-385-1003. Suggested donation: $5.
Jan. 3, Gallery Walk, start the year with art! Over a dozen galleries are participating. Bring friends, enjoy light refreshments, and revel in the diverse art showcased in Port Townsend. PT Shorts starts off the new year at the Key City Theatre Playhouse, 419 Washington St. with three veteran actors reading the quirky off kilter stories of Percival Everett, 7:30 pm.
Jan. 21, Wooden Boat Wednesday at the NW Maritime Center, 431 Water St. from noon - 1:30 pm featuring Celestial Navigation with Captain Jeff Sanders.
Jan. 23-24, Strange Brewfest - a celebration of uniquely crafted brews from 30+ breweries and cideries from around our region. Most of the offerings will only be available at this festival. And most of those will challenge your taste buds, and their sensibilities.

Uptown Nutrition will have a proud new owner to begin 2015 - Dr. Dawn Reardon, ND! Suzy Carroll adds: "She's young, smart, kind and full of warmth and has the knowledge to take this store to the next level! I'm both happy and sad. This store has become a part of me, but it is time to let go so we may all flourish! The transition will take a few weeks and I look forward to thanking you personally for your kindness, patronage and uplifting and heartwarming conversations I've been blessed to have for ten years!" We wish Suzy the best on her new adventures and we welcome Dawn to Uptown!
We would like to thank everyone who came out to ride the Kiwanis Choo Choo Train in December. Your donations helped raise $845 that will go to PT Artscape and the PT Music Boosters. This money will help bring teaching artist into the Port Townsend schools as well as helping music students pay for travel expenses for competitions and festivals. Thank you for giving back to the community. Also a big thank you to Port Townsend Kiwanis Club, we truly appreciate your time and use of the Choo Choo!

Happy 20th Anniversary to Sirens, 823 Water Street. Speaking of music, did you know they have a Fiddler Jam Session every Tuesday at 7 pm, Open Mic night ever Wednesday and Karaoke every Thursday at 9 pm? Also DJ Dance party every Friday and Saturday at midnight! Check out their website for other music and events to get you out of the house on these cold winter nights.
The Tin Brick, 232 Taylor St. hosts Open Mic with Jack Reid every Wednesday at 6 pm. Besides open mic, The Tin Brick is also a great place to watch Football and other sports - they are family-friendly with three big screens.
Uptown Pub, 1016 Lawrence St. hosts an Open Mic with Jarrod, 9 pm every Tuesday. Trivia Night with Corey, 7 pm every Wednesday. Free Music and Dancing, 9 pm-11:30 pm every Friday and Saturday. Another fun place to watch sports, they have four flat screen T.V.'s for all your sports needs as well as ping pong, pool table, steel-tipped darts and board games.
Need more workshops? Daily Bird Pottery, 1011 Water St. offers a Luminaries workshop (Workshop will be in their new space 2009 4th Street, behind Habitat for Humanity).
