MERCHANT INFORMATION SYSTEM INFO:Picture Your Business Name Here!
Beginning August 18, the City of Port Townsend
will begin accepting applications for use of its
Merchant Information System (MIS) sign program.
MIS provides an off-site signage opportunity for businesses and organizations located within
the National Historic Landmark District (NHLD). It directs pedestrians to participating public and private locations via maps which have been installed at 12 sidewalk locations throughout the historic district. Each map has been indexed to allow up to 8 individual businesses to display its name
and address. These "addressing strips" are stainless steel that will be laser-etched by the City. They may also contain (space allowing) an electronic link to a participant's website via a "quick response"(QR) code or other approved social media method. Click here for cost to participate and more details.
