PORT TOWNSEND MAIN STREET PROGRAM
ANNUAL PARTY HELD DECEMBER 11TH

Each year we come together and celebrate our members and volunteers with a special holiday party to say thank you as well as honoring the Main Street Business Partner, Volunteer and a new award for 2013, Collaborator Award. It's been a great year, thank you! And the winners are...

MAIN STREET COLLABORATOR AWARD

New this year, an award to a business which helps "Raise all the Boats" -the Main Street Collaborator Award. In recognition of their collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit which promotes local business, we name DAILY BIRD POTTERY, our Main Street Collaborator of the Year. These family business owners are creative, promotion-minded, community-oriented and generous.

BUSINESS PARTNER OF THE YEAR

This award is bestowed upon a business owner who demonstrates leadership, has a business which is

successful, and makes a difference in our community. This year we honored Mike Kenna, a member of our business community who has been in business at The Printery for 38 years, manages 20+ employees in his successful uptown location, does extremely high quality work, and is generous to Main Street and other nonprofits. In 1985, Mike served on the Port Townsend Main Street Promotion Committee, in the first year of our program. 28 years later he is still helping coordinate and print the Main Street Family Portrait--with same day service and a smile!

Congratulations Mike Kenna, still smiling after all these years!

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

For the past six years, HEATHER DUDLEY NOLLETTE has helped steer our Main Street ship. She has been instrumental as a board member, committee member, volunteer, and for the past three years--President of the Port Townsend Main Street Program. She has put in countless hours-preparing for and facilitating Main Street meetings and events, participating on economic development panels, developing the building/business inventory, emceeing programs and events, and sharing the beautiful asset of her family's treasured Hastings Building. In addition to her role as the Main Street Board President, she helped start the Co-Lab Co-Working Space this year, has been an active member of Team Jefferson and the Chamber of Commerce, is the project manager for the Hastings Estate Company, is an actress with Key City Public Theatre, and has a husband and two young children. With Heather leading the charge, we have collaborated, networked, strategized, fundraised, met the challenges and even developed a new strategic plan that fits on one page. Congratulations Heather!
