C.S. Lewis Institute
Resources for Discipleship of Heart and Mind
Friends and Fellows of the C.S. Lewis Institute Annapolis,

As I write this, I am in the process of interviewing the Fellows class for 2014-2015. So far we have twenty applications for Year One.

The Nabeel Qureshi event on May 8, "Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus," is full. We have 400 registrants and many more who wanted to register but the venue is at it's capacity.

There are over ten cities in the US and abroad that want to bring a C.S. Lewis Institute to their locale; and partners like English Language Institute China (ELIC) and Ambassadors for Christ (AFC) are not only using our resources but are being blessed by receiving our Fellows into their organizations.

For a comprehensive overview of what is happening, you will want to view this video:

We also have a network of over 50 pastors meeting weekly to pray for one another and come together each quarter to fellowship and share at the C.S. Lewis Institute's Chesapeake Pastor's Lunch.

Add to this the activities of our student fellowships which have been meeting weekly all year and one has to give thanks and stand in awe of what God is doing through the Institute in Annapolis and around the world.

We will use the summer to recharge and plan for the activities that begin in August/September with the return of our students and the Fellows retreat at Osprey Point. Ann and I will be traveling to Texas in June to meet with people in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio about starting CSLI's in their cities.

We are planning more seminar events in 2014-2015 and have Dr. Ken Boa booked for November 20-23, 2014.

Here is an additional resource (called a prezi) which you can view to give you more information about the C.S. Lewis Institute.

Thank you for your support and prayers for the Institute. Many are being blessed by the discipleship programs, seminars, and fellowships offered through the Institute. Pray that God will give us wisdom to use His resources to accomplish His purpose.

Blessings,

Jim Phillips

Amy's Corner:

The year is almost ended. Graduation at St. John's happens in just one week! Last week and this week, our student fellowships have been coming to a close and we have been celebrating those who will be graduating and the good time that we have had together this year. I'd say it's a record our women's fellowship has made it through the 7th chapter of the Gospel of John. I was wondering if we'd make it through chapter 3 when we started back in the fall... I love Johnnie discussions! Please pray for students as they scatter for the summer holidays. I will be praying for safety, for rest, and that Jesus would be glorified.

I will be sad to see the close of the C.S. Lewis reading group. It was difficult to gather everyone in the business of the last month of school for Mere Christianity, but there were some good discussions nonetheless. We will meet on Tuesday for lunch at Rams Head to close out the year with The Last Battle. Thank you for your prayers for this group throughout the year, and I pray I will get to do this again next year!

Please be in prayer for these groups this coming fall! I am praying the Lord would enable us to reach many more students with the love of Christ.

In Him,

Amy
