What do you do with blue skies and 80 degree weather? Take it to the lake of course! All of our Harbor Towns are in full swing this August with festivals, run/walks, farmer's markets, and as much fun in the sun as you can have!
MARINETTE

As summer draws to an end, make sure you take one more weekend getaway to experience the maritime City of Marinette. Visit our charming downtown boutiques, local family-owned restaurants or take a stroll along our beautiful walk ways that curl along the Bay of Michigan. Marinette has multiple walking trails, swimming beaches, fishing spots and golf courses for you to enjoy with friends and family. On your visit, make sure you stop by our Logging Museum, located on Stephenson Island, to get a tour of Marinette's rich logging history or take a drive down Riverside Avenue, which was recently created an historic district.

RACINE

Hit the beach in August! Racine's North Beach - one of USA Today's 51 Great American Beaches - is 50 acres of groomed sand and clear water. It's a perfect place to spend a family-friendly day playing in the sand, enjoying the view or just soaking up the sun! The kids will love Kids Cove, a delightful playground constructed by community volunteers. North Beach is open daily through Labor Day. Admission and parking are free.
