Winter has arrived in Wisconsin and our Harbor Town communities invite you to join them in embracing this season of snow and holiday cheer! The holidays add a magical charm throughout our 1,100 miles of Great Lakes shoreline and it's the perfect time to experience our idyllic towns in all their winter glory. Or... if you prefer to settle in this winter and dream of warmer days, there's no time like now to start marking that 2014 calendar!

 

This month, enjoy wondrous holiday events, embark on one-of-a-kind shopping excursions, or forge into the great outdoors for ice fishing, snowmobiling, skiing and other cool activities that warm the soul! Plan ahead! Think warm!
December is the perfect time to plan your summer boating, fishing and vacation get-a-way. Ashland, Lake Superior's Hometown is the Historic Mural Capital of Wisconsin. Ashland is known for their "World Class Smallmouth Bass Fishing" and four-season fishing where anglers will snag many species of fish.

Paddlers will find endless waters to explore and visitors will love

MILWAUKEE

The City of Festivals
Known as the "City of Festivals," Milwaukee's lakefront is bustling with celebrations all summer long. Raise a stein of beer at German Fest, dance the polka at Polish Fest, enjoy the colorful parades at Festa Italiana or rock out at Summerfest, the world's largest music festival with more than 800 bands performing over 11 days. Visitors can docks their boats in the lakefront lagoon, gaining easy access to the 75-acre festival park. At night, all are invited stay on the water to watch dazzling fireworks displays and to soak up the beauty of summer in Milwaukee. For more information, click HERE.

OCONTO

Holiday Celebrations Abound in Oconto!
Be sure to circle these dates on your calendar! The 25th Annual
Winter Wonderland, a fascinating array of Christmas lights located on the banks of the Oconto River, is now open! Coinciding with this display, our 1/4 mile-long Brazeau Avenue Fence will be decorated with over 100 wreaths honoring loved ones.


On December 7, celebrate all things Christmas with a parade down Main Street (1pm) and then visit Santa and enjoy letters, pictures, ornaments and cookies.  Outdoor winter games and rides, free raffle, and a chili cook-off highlight the 4th Annual Winterfest on February 8.  For more info, call (920) 834-7711.  Looking forward to sharing Oconto with you!

TWO RIVERS

Banish the Humbugs!
Come to Two Rivers, Wisconsin for festive fun that will get you in the holiday spirit! This small town will banish your humbug as you stroll quaint shops, sip gourmet coffees and enjoy our beautifully decorated downtown.

On December 8 the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra will hold their annual Christmas performance at St. Peter the Fisherman's Catholic Church, which will inspire and delight. Finish your holiday shopping in our downtown, December 13-24, during the 12 Days of Christmas, and you will find easy parking and fewer crowds.
