Racine... It's Electrifying!
An exciting new event, the Electric Run™ Milwaukee/Racine, is coming to the Racine County Fairgrounds in Union Grove on Saturday, Aug. 24 starting at 8 p.m.
Electric Run is a nighttime 5k run through a one-of-a-light show designed by the country's most talented lighting designers and artists. Participants will run or walk through up to 10 different worlds of light and music. In addition to an unforgettable light show, every participant will receive an event shirt, LED bracelet, glow necklace and glow sunglasses.
Registration is now open at www.electricrun.com. Packet pick up will be Friday, Aug. 23 at the Real Racine Visitor Center, I-94 and Highway 20.

The Washburn, Wisconsin area is teaming with activities and opportunities year-round. There's fishing, sailing, camping, kayaking, paddleboarding, and bike trails, just to mention some summer-time fun. The full-service marina offers one of the largest travel lifts on Lake Superior with a deep-water harbor.
Upcoming events include: Zombie Days on October 26 with a 5K race, bike race and parade, Applefest weekend vendors on October 5-6, and the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K on November 28.
The growth of our small town is evident in the increase of our restaurant district, the local organic food market, specialty shops, such as a soapery and hand-crafted Lake Superior jewelry. Artist studios abound.
