When you think of Algoma in June, you can't help but think sport fishing. The charter boats and launch facilities are already seeing action in the quest for that trophy fish. Be sure to visit www.algomacity.org and www.algoma.org for all the information you'll need for an exciting day on the water.
Not a fisherman? No problem. You can still explore the lakeshore along Algoma's half-mile boardwalk and step off onto the groomed sand beach with shoes in hand. With Algoma's downtown right on the waterfront, your walk can easily take you to any number of shopping and dining experiences, including a visit to the state's oldest winery - von Stiehl Winery. Amble along the world's largest freshwater sandbar. Canoe or kayak the Lake Superior Water Trail.
