Goodbye Old Man Winter... hello Spring in Wisconsin! Although the temperatures are taking a while to warm up, there's a definite buzz in the air anticipating all the great things to come this spring in Wisconsin's Harbor Towns! Marinas are busy readying vessels for the open waters of the Great Lakes.  Shopkeepers and restaurant owners are sweeping away the remnants of winter to make way for flower baskets and outdoor cafe tables. No matter where you go, spring is in the air throughout our Harbor Towns and we invite you to come discover our unique destinations!  Here is a sampling of those ready to welcome you this month and all year-round!

Door County, WISeason of Blossoms

As spring sweeps through Wisconsin, blossoms return to Door County for their annual pilgrimage in the form of cherry and apple blossoms, daffodils, tulips, wild flowers and more.

 

The 20th annual Door County Season of Blossoms celebration, running from April 12 - June 9, offers visitors a number of opportunities to enjoy spring from weekend events to garden walks to blossom trolley tours. TWO RIVERS
Two Rivers, WIFun Escapes!

In Two Rivers, spring and summer bring fun events from Nature hikes at Woodland Dunes Nature Center to Car Shows in June and August. There's an astounding variety of Festivals, including Kites Over Lake Michigan on Labor Day Weekend, with beautiful kites, entertainment, and fireworks on a pristine sand Beach. Ethnic Fest in September and Applefest in October offer unique shopping opportunities, great entertainment and fun foods to make your mouth water. This quaint, small town is also home of the ice cream sundae so stop in at the historic Washington House and grab a bite of history.

Washburn offers everything for everyone. The natural walking trail along the Lake has sandy beaches and bird watching. Two magnificent campgrounds, on Lake Superior, showcase the Bay where you'll most likely see kayakers and paddle boarders. 

 

For land lovers, the bike routes are endless.  The Superior Vista Bike Tour on June 22 starts at the Lake and loops forest and countryside.  Choose options from 13-100 miles.

 

Join us for everything paddling on July 26-28.  Paddlers of all abilities can participate in races, demos and clinics.
