Run (and Fun) With Color
The Color Run, known as the "The Happiest 5k On The Planet," returns to Racine on Saturday, May 25. The race starts at 8 a.m. at Pershing Park on the lakefront. The course takes runners and walkers through city streets, where they will make their way through four "color zones" located at every kilometer mark of the course. At the color zones, volunteers toss brightly colored cornstarch on the participants. The race concludes with a "color throw" celebration near the finish line at Pershing Park.
Registration opens Feb. 1 on The Color Run website. The early registration fee, BEFORE March 15, is $40 per person, or $35 per person for teams of four or more that register together. Participants receive a t-shirt, bag of color and other souvenir items.

The Spirit on the Lake
After dredging 400,000 cubic yards of sediment from the Sheboygan River in 2012, Sheboygan's water ways now offer deep, easily navigable in-and-out access to all entertainment areas by motor and sailboats. Boating accommodations include available courtesy docking in the entertainment districts, a state-of-the-art mega-yacht facility, and a full service marina for transient and permanent boat residents.
More than $70 million was spent on dredging and habitat restoration to ensure the best boating experience for visitors to the Sheboygan Harbor. With top-rate fishing, surfing and water sports opportunities, festivals and celebrations, and easily accessible entertainment districts, Sheboygan has become a favorite of water enthusiasts. We invite you to visit, whatever your mode of transport, and experience our deeper, cleaner Spirit on the Lake!
