Try Mont du Lac Recreation for exhilarating downhill skiing, snowboarding and snow-tubing. Enjoy the solitude of our state forest and state parks while you cross-country ski, snowshoe or winter camp. Get revved up about 325+ miles of snowmobile or winter ATV/UTV trails. Glide along 86K of groomed classic and freestyle cross-country ski trails. Make tracks and snowshoe. Bundle up for some ice fishing fun. Hit the trail in the Superior Municipal Forest where skiing has gone to the dogs, try skijoring. Come to the frozen shores off Barker's Island for some fast-paced hockey the way it was meant to be played at the Great Lakes Pond Hockey Classic.

Free Fishing Weekend events provide great opportunities for people of all ages to give fishing a try. Fish anywhere in Wisconsin without a license or trout stamp on Free Fishing Weekend. This includes all inland waters and Wisconsin's side of the Great Lakes and Mississippi River. (Other fishing rules apply, such as limits on the number and size of fish you can keep and any seasons when you must release certain fish species.)
