Kids: Label Toy Bins

You've organized the kids' toys but the small parts never end up in the right box.
What can you do?
1. Use clear plastic bins to store toys.
2. Use a bin only slightly larger than the contents. A large bin makes it too tempting to just 'throw everything in.'
3. Label each bin. Add a photo of the contents to provide a visual cue. This makes it easier to put things where they belong; even for children who read. Clip Art, Google Images and magazines provide great image options.
Kids will be kids. Pieces will float from bin to bin requiring a periodic clean-up to get things back where they belong.

Time: Defending Your Time At Work
"Every interaction leads to a response, maybe three.
Every marketing effort leads to the expectation that there will be other efforts. The next thing you know, there's no time left to actually get work done.
That's not news to you. What might be surprising is the logical conclusion:
A big part of doing your work is defending your time and your attention so you can do your work.
No one is going to do it for you and it's not easy or fun. It's work. But worth it."

Home & Office: Phone Tips
Ever notice individuals who exhibit annoying phone behaviors?
Here are my Top 3 irritating phone behaviors. Are you guilty of them? If so, you may want to consider altering your behavior.
1. Talking and texting while driving. [Do you have a death wish?]
2. Checking email and Facebook at the dinner table. [It's just rude and anti-social.]
3. Non-stop taking of photos and videos. [Some things should not be captured on film.]
While it is very tempting to be constantly connected, are these the behaviors we want to model for the younger generation?
