Kids: First Aid Kit

A well-stocked first aid kit is an important item to keep in your car.
A few suggested items to include:
1. Assorted sizes of Band-Aids and sterile gauze pads. First aid tape.
2. Hydrogen peroxide, antiseptic wash, antibiotic ointment and alcohol prep pads.
3. A ziploc bag with cotton swabs and cotton balls.
4. Hand sanitizer.
5. Splinter tweezers.
6. Meat tenderizer. This is great for bee stings. Mix tenderizer with a drop or two of water to create a paste. Apply with cotton swab. The pain of the sting immediately subsides.
Consider re-purposing a toiletry kit or lunchbox to use as a case. Consider keeping a first aid kit in the kitchen as well.

Home & Office: Writing for Business
Here are some tips to getting your reports read:
1. Be brief
2. Keep sentences short
3. Leave white space
4. Be professional
5. Avoid formal language
6. Use visuals
Using fewer multi-syllabic words, makes documents easier to digest without having to re-read sentences.
I have heard that the NY Times is written at a 9th grade reading level. Shouldn't your report be as readable as the newspaper?
