Kids:  The Dot System

Republishing based on popular demand!

Those of us who have children close in age often have trouble figuring out which clothes belong to which child (especially if they are the same sex!)  Here's an easy system that removes the guesswork:

1.  Put a nametag inside each article of clothing.  If you do not have a common last name, just use that on the tag.  Name tags are also useful for camp and school.

2.  Use a permanent marker and put one dot next to the name for the oldest child, two dots for the second, three for the third, etc.

4.  As items get handed down, simply add another dot to the tag.

Over time, the children know how many 'dots' they are and can easily identify what clothing belongs to them and what belongs to their siblings.

Time:  Manage Your Time

Time slips through our hands like grains of sand, never to return again.  Those who use time wisely are rewarded with rich, productive and satisfying lives.

Home & Office: Imperfection

When we seek perfection, we sometimes set ourselves up for failure.

We need to rid ourselves of the 'all or nothing' mentality.

When tackling a large project, it is important to acknowledge the steps along the way, not just the finished product.

If we are too concerned with doing things perfectly, we might not get anything done at all.

It is also important to remember that falling short of perfect does not mean we have failed.  Embrace imperfection!

Break large projects and goals into small pieces.  Do the best you can, even if it's not perfect.  80% of something great is still a lot better than 0% of perfect.
