Time: De-Cluttering Myths
Here are my thoughts on some common myths to getting organized:
"If I buy containers, I will find a use for them and be more organized."
Sort first, then buy appropriate storage containers. Otherwise, what you buy is unlikely to be what you need, which creates more clutter.
"I must donate each item to the charity that would benefit most."
This is a nice idea but it is likely to take so long that it will never get done. Choose charities that can take a wide variety of items and allow yourself to move forward.
"I know it's broken but I really want to get it fixed."
If you really cared about or needed the item, it would have been fixed already. Time to let it go.

Home & Office: Email Efficiency
Here are 3 easy ways to make your emailing more efficient:
1. Code Messages:
In your subject line use abbreviations like NRN (No Reply Needed) or EOM (End of Message).
2. Delegate Processing
Treat emails the same way you would treat paper and delegate accordingly.
3. Set Standards
Your office should set a standard for the frequency with which email should be checked (i.e. 2 or 3 times a day.)
Email is a great tool but can be a huge time waster. Look for ways to use it to increase efficiency rather than letting it bog you down.
