TAIWAN / CHINA / JAPAN / HONG KONG / PHILIPPINESChina Airlines flight attendants, affiliated with the Taoyuan Flight Attendants' Union (TFAU), are currently observing a 24-hour strike in Taiwan's capital, Taipei, on 24 June. A number of regional flight services have been cancelled, including flights to Japan, Hong Kong and the Philippines. According to reports, at least eight flights have been cancelled, affecting approximately 1,600 passengers. Although the airline has implemented contingency plans to reduce disruptions and delays; moderate interruptions to scheduled services have been reported and are likely to persist for the duration of the strike period. Further flight delays and/or cancellations remain likely on 24 June.
