UNITED KINGDOM (LONDON) - Flight disruptions, including cancellations and delays, have been reported at Gatwick Airport, which serves London, in the UK, on 12 June. The disruptions are the result of the temporary closure of the airport's main runway, due to an issue with the runway's surface. Although an alternate runway is currently being used, delays continue to be reported.  It unclear when the main runway will be reopened; however, further disruptions are anticipated on 13 June. Residual disruptions should be anticipated once normal operations resume, as it may take several hours for airport authorities to clear the backlog of flights.

Clients intending to transit Gatwick Airport in the near-term are advised to contact the airline or their travel provider for further information regarding the strike and the status of flight services.
