UNITED STATES (DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT)  - Hundreds of flights have been cancelled at Denver International Airport, which serves Colorado state's capital, Denver, on 23 March. All flights were halted early on the day due to power outages and low visibility caused by severe winter weather conditions. Although power was restored to key operations at the airport, flight disruptions, including cancellations, continue to affected hundreds of flights. Additionally, parts of Interstates 25, 80 and 70 in eastern Colorado and Wyoming have been closed due to blowing snow. It should be noted that the US National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a blizzard warning in several areas in north eastern Colorado, including Denver; these are expected to remain in place until 18:00 local time on 23 March.
Disruptions to air, road, and possibly rail travel as a result of the blizzard conditions, which includes heavy snowfall with strong winds, are expected to persist in the next 24 hours, at least. Further power outages, as well as possible disruptions to amenities such as water and telecommunications, should also be anticipated.

Persons travelling in the affected areas are advised to monitor local media closely or the NWS website (http://www.weather.gov/) for updates and advisories. Clients intending to transit Denver International Airport should contact their airline or travel provider to inquire about the status of their flight(s).Travellers within the affected area should reconfirm all transport services, with their travel provider prior to departure. Road travel is not recommended during a snowstorm. However, if essential road travel must be undertaken, it is advisable to ensure that the vehicle is properly equipped to deal with prevailing conditions.

We are closely monitoring this situation and reaching out to our traveler managers / travelers who are affected by the flight disruption.
