FRANCE (COUNTRYWIDE) - Pilots belonging to the Alter labor union, in France, are set to observe strike action from 10 to 13 January. The strike has been organized to protest upcoming disciplinary procedures against two of the pilots. Moderate disruptions are expected.  Alter represents less than a quarter of Air France's pilots and the airline is expected to successfully implement contingency plans to mitigate the effects of the strike. Nonetheless, some disruptions are anticipated, including delays and possibly cancellations. Furthermore, an increase in demand for alternative carriers and transport is anticipated.

Persons intending to fly with Air France during the aforementioned strike period are advised to contact the airline or their travel provider to confirm the status of flights. Clients are further advised to avoid any large street gatherings and concentrations of security forces as a precaution.
