SOUTH AFRICA (CAPE TOWN) - Ongoing disruptions have been reported to airport operations at Cape Town International Airport, located in Cape Town, South Africa, on 27 October. A fire at a nearby undisclosed power station resulted in a power outage at the facility, affecting a number of operations at the airport, including disruptions to flight services. An unconfirmed number of arriving and departing flights have been delayed. Although the facility has a back-up power source, further disruptions are expected to persist while the operations resume and the backlog of flights is cleared.

Advice: Clients intending to travel through the affected airport in the short-term are advised to contact the airport, their airline or their travel provider for further information on the status of their flight(s).
