The problem affected Chicago's O'Hare Airport, as well as Dallas-Fort Worth and Miami. American Airlines spokesperson stated, "We're working to resolve technical issues impacting some airports as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience." The FAA confirmed difficulties with American Airlines flights, notifying the media that the airline requested a grounding of all of its planes at three airports, including at Dallas/Fort Worth, O'Hare and Miami International Airports.
