Dr. Estela Mara Bensimon and Dr. Alicia C. Dowd, Center for Urban Education (CUE) co-directors and professors of education at USC, will lead the institute, which is co-sponsored by the Community College League of California (CCLC). The institute builds on presentations by Dr. Bensimon (March 14th) and by Dr. Dowd (November 22nd) at CCLC events in the Bay Area. CUE is working with community college leaders to design the institute's curriculum to address the need for equity plans that lead to equitable practices and student outcomes.
