VAM recently signed on to a letter crafted by the American Alliance of Museums which condemns the language included in a budget report adopted by the U.S. House of Representatives. The report labels NEH, NEA and IMLS unnecessary Federal expenditures, not vital to the core mission of the United States government. VAM was joined in signing the letter by state, regional and affiliate museum service organizations across the country. A final version of the letter will be available on AAM's website later this month.
