"There are three constants in life:

 change, choice and principles."

~Stephen Covey~

Change is inevitable and rarely avoidable. Today, it might take the shape of extra responsibilities at work or learning the latest technology. Tomorrow, you might be looking for a new job or starting your own business.

While we often can't prevent change, we do get to choose how we respond to it. When we perceive change as a valuable commodity, much like money, we can manage it more effectively.

Here are thrchangeee key questions to help you master change.

1) What are you saying about change?
Studies show we speak to ourselves about 10,000 times a day and 80% of that tends to be negative. When you hear yourself saying something like "I'll never figure this out," flip that message to a positive one. The words you say internally and to others can empower you to succeed or guarantee failure. It's your choice.

2) How do you look at change?
Your subconscious mind believes everything you show it and seeks out resources to prove that it's true. When you picture the positive outcomes of change, like a flourishing business or more efficient workflow, the steps to get there become clearer.

3) How do you feel about change?
One of the most powerful emotions known to man is gratitude. Instead of dreading change, what if you chose to focus on the gifts that come from it and express thanks for it? Start small, perhaps by being grateful for the change in the weather or a change in your vacation plans. Then, progress to more significant changes. Look back at changes you feared that have turned out well to put your current situation in perspective.

What strategies do you use to master change? Take a moment to share your wisdom on my Facebook Page or reply back to me. I love hearing from you!

Have You Heard What They're Saying?

"Simple but brilliant! That's Tricia Molloy's 'Work-Life Balance Wisdom' program.

"Tricia spoke to more than 600 AT&T employees at our headquarters in Dallas and via webcast to AT&T offices throughout the country. She got us to think about our lives in a different way. Her empowering message struck a chord with so many of us, regardless of our level or lifestyle. We followed up the event with a book giveaway to encourage participants to improve their balance by making conscious choices-like cleaning out technical clutter and using positive affirmations.

"Even a respected senior executive who is known for her commitment to balance said she learned some new strategies that she'll apply right away."
