A funny thing happens when we set our intention for our day, week, month and even year. We are more aware of helpful people and resources that can support our success. It's also much easier for us to take action with confidence and purpose. In other words, our intention creates our reality.
So, before we get any further along into this new year, I want to make sure you've set your intention for 2014.
1) Choose one quality you wish to emulate this year, like Joy, Gratefulness, Health, Focus, Fun or Creativity.
2) Write down what that intention means to you.
3) Consider incorporating it into a simple affirmation like, "I experience joy in everything I do today" or "I love how creative I am." Write it down and post it where you'll see it--on your bathroom mirror, by your computer screen or on the dashboard of your car.
4) Then, refer to it throughout your day as you do your work, make decisions and connect with others. You'll see how the universe gives you opportunities to express that intention.
5) Next week, recommit to that same intention or claim a new one.
My intention for this year is Grace. For me, grace means practicing compassion and forgiveness with myself and others, joyfully staying in gratitude, keeping things simple, and patiently trusting that all is well. My affirmation is "I express grace in all I do and say today."
It's amazing what you can achieve when you make a conscious choice to be intentional.
Share your intention on my Facebook Page or reply back to me. I love hearing from you!
