The CFPA's Industry Reception is an
excellent opportunity to network with fluid power leaders while learning more about the future of Alberta's economy, both positive and negative.

Our Keynote Speaker: Paul Tsounis, M.A. Econ/Fin, Director, Energy Economics, Alberta Energy

Is Alberta in the position to capitalize on rapidly changing global forces and continue on the path of sustained economic prosperity?

Paul Tsounis, Director of Energy Economics with the Energy Information and Analysis Branch of Alberta Energy, will provide insights on the fundamental shifts that have occurred in North American energy markets and how these shifts are impacting Alberta. Paul will provide insights as to Alberta's resource potential and its ability to penetrate its current (and future) markets for its crude oil, natural gas and value added resources. This discussion will also include insights into current price trends, pipeline issues, refineries and international energy market trends.

Food and drinks will be provided.

CFPA Updates
The Year-end market analysis was recently distributed to all members in good standing. Both the hydraulic and pneumatic segments ended the year on a strong note.

2015 will definitely be a challenging year and these updates will keep members informed as the year progresses.

The statistics committee continues to add new reports to inform members about trends in the market. This report compares general manufacturing quarterly sales to hydraulics and pneumatics.

To get more involved with any of our committees click here and let us know what interests you. It takes only a couple hours a quarter to let Directors know what the issues are that affect your business and how we can help.

Don't forget to save the date. CFPA will be hosting its Annual General Meeting in Montreal from October 14-16. We encourage members from across the country to participate and bring spouses.

We are also bringing back our central region golf tournament this year in June. Stay tuned for more details! This was a great event and we hope we get everyone out and having fun!
