2015 Canadian Fluid Power Challenge, Ontario Edition

Created in 2001, this is a highly successful and innovative fluid power education event offered at the junior high/middle school level. Participating teachers have repeatedly told us that the two-day format (over three weeks) and the emphasis put on the design portfolios as well as the devices built makes this event the most effective tech skills competitions for teaching and motivating that they and their students attend.


Sponsorships of individual schools by CFPA member companies and other supporters of technology education have been a big contributor to the success of our previous competitions.

 Alberta Fluid Power Bursaries


Through the generosity of a number of CFPA member companies and the cooperation of the Edmonton School Board, Don Trenn has launched a fluid power bursary program that involves an essay-writing contest.  More details to come in our next E-blast.

Input Due March 4 for Design Engineering
Design Engineering Magazine is publishing its annual FLUID POWER & CONTROLS BUYERS' GUIDE issue in April. In addition to the FREE Company / Product listings, this issue features their annual Fluid Power Annual Roundtable, a selection of relevant technical articles / case studies and a host of new fluid power products and technologies. This issue is an important year-round reference tool for their 18,000 OEM design and in-plant readers across Canada.

Design Engineering invites all CFPA member companies to take advantage of the FREE company listing. If you have not already submitted your renewal please take a few minutes to complete and return the attached Listing Form. It must be returned no later than March 4.
