Texas Travel & Tourism Week - May 1-7, 2016

Texas Travel & Tourism Week is set for May 1-7, 2016. TTIA has gathered information and data to help our members plan their week's events and Travel Rally Day activities.

Every year since 1984, the travel & tourism industry in the U.S. has set aside one week in early May to honor and recognize the significant impact this industry has on communities across the nation

Travel & Tourism Week, May 1-7, provides the travel industry with an opportunity to tell our story to the citizens and elected officials in our own communities.

We encourage TTIA members to get involved! If you are a Destination Marketing Organization (DMO), we hope you will take the lead in planning your travel and tourism week activities. If you are a hotel, attraction, restaurant or retail establishment, we encourage you to contact your local DMO and find out how your business can get involved in showing your community how travel makes life better!

We have created a webpage dedicated to this week with toolkits, ideas, sample proclamations, and suggestions you can use to plan your week's activities. Click here for more information.

Serve to open a dialogue on new research methods within the academic community, the applicability of research initiatives to industry needs, the role research has within the expanding field of travel, tourism and hospitality, and to produce research valuable to industry practitioners (destination marketing organizations, convention and visitors bureaus, hoteliers, attractions, etc.).
