Texas Travel Fair Is Two Weeks Away! Are You Registered? |
April 16-17
South Padre Island, TX
Exhibiting at the Texas Travel Fair gives TTIA Members the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the travel counselors, who give guidance to millions of visitors to Texas every year, and educate them on what's new at your destination (i.e. attractions, events, festivals, etc.).
The travel counselors who attend this event work at TxDOT Travel Information Centers, AAA offices, city visitor centers, Texas Parks and Wildlife offices, and Texas Highways magazine.
- There will not be an Awards Luncheon on Thursday after Travel Fair. All awards will be announced at the new Stars of Texas Awards Dinner on Wednesday night. The dinner will begin at 6:30pm and the Appreciation Party will follow at 8pm.
- On Thursday, we will begin with a breakfast with the travel counselors from 8:00am - 8:45am. All exhibitors are encouraged to attend. The Texas Travel Fair will follow breakfast from 9:00am - 12noon.
- There will be a Mail Back Center for the Travel Counselors this year, but there are restrictions. Each travel counselor will have the ability to fill one 24" x 18" x 18" box with items (20lb weight limit) and have it shipped to their office. Please keep this in mind if you plan to bring promotional gift items.
- Exhibitors will need to have a one page information sheet that talks about what is new in your destination or attraction to give each travel counselor. Bring approximately 95 copies.
- All events conclude at 12noon on Thursday.
Registration Rates
$460 - include booth space and registration for one person
$99 - Additional attendees from the same organization sharing the booth

TxDOT Introduces Travel Industry Partner Page |
In an effort to create a one-stop shop for its travel industry partners, TxDOT's Travel Information Division introduces a new portal on the agency's website, TxDOT.gov. The Travel Industry Partner Page offers a streamlined, easy-to-follow process to access TxDOT resources for marketing and promoting destinations.
The Travel Industry Partner Page connects industry partners with resources for reaching their audiences, distributing brochures, hosting events, getting travel leads, and more. Resources include:
- Advertising Information
- Photo Library Information
- Marketing Partnerships
-
- Research Tools
- Editorial Submission Information
-
- Interactive Database Tools for the Travel Guide and Events Calendar
Visit the Travel Industry Partner Page at TxDOT.gov for more in-depth information and to start taking advantage of this helpful collection of resources. To register as a new user, follow these instructions. Note: registration authorization can take up to two business days.
If you have any questions about the new TxDOT Travel Industry Partner Page, ordering bulk materials, or accessing the leads database, please contact Doug Martin at 512-486-5813.
