Network elects new Board members,
celebrates excellence at Summit

More than 1,100 NEW members strengthened their careers and community at the 13th annual NEW Leadership Summit in Atlanta last week. NEW members elected seven new Board members and learned from creativity guru Sarah Lewis, leadership coach Ella Bell, a panel of c-suite executives and 17 workshops and sessions, including the NEW Leadership Academy on sponsorship. Mike Gorshe of Accenture received the Network’s William J. Grize Hall of Fame Award. 'Tapestry': Multicultural women
face higher hurdles in industry

Multicultural women are underrepresented in the industry�s leadership ranks as most companies overlook their unique barriers to success, according to “Tapestry: Leveraging the Rich Diversity of Women in Retail and Consumer Goods,” a Network report released at the NEW Leadership Summit 2014 last week in Atlanta. As white women make “slow but steady progress, multicultural women can find their careers stalling out,” the report says. Download full report.
