Denver's Only Run Benefitting Parkinson's Saturday, August 27 | 9:00am Cheesman Park | Denver J oin the 4th Annual Colorado Courage 5K Run to show your support for those you know who are living courageously with Parkinson's. The race is a family event; bring your kids, strollers, dogs and friends to race, jog or walk the course! For more information or to register click here.
Sunday, August 28 | 9:30am
Join John Jacquinot for his 4th Annual Redneck Ride for Parkinson's. This 24-mile bike ride through the foothills of Larimer County will raise awareness of Parkinson's disease. All funds raised from this event will be designated to provide scholarships for exercise and activity programs provided through the Parkinson Association. Join us to hear from and be encouraged by, our featured keynote speaker, Tim Hauge Sr. He will share a captivating story of his ultimate triumph in winning The Amazing Race Canada; invigorating attendees through a tale of his life experiences and reminding all of us to live our best lives possible.
Conference Participants will be Challenged to: - educate themselves about nonmotor symptoms and learn techniques to overcome those symptoms.
- energize and express themselves through the use of movement and creativity.
- empower themselves through reminders of how important self-talk and self-care are to their well-being.

Parkinson Association Exercise Updates
We can't get enough of our exercise classes and we know the community can't either! That's why we're adding even more classes. Keep your eyes peeled for additional classes in the works.
ON HOLD! Power Punch for Parkinson's Boxing
Wednesday classes from 10:00 - 11:00am at Denver Red Shield, 2915 High St., Denver will be put on hold until further notice.
Littleton Yoga Is Moving!

Starting September 6th the Littleton Yoga class at Littleton YMCA will be moving to Health South Rehabilitation Hospital of Littleton, 1001 W. Mineral Ave., Litteton
NEW PWR! Class
Starting September 14, join our newest PWR! class on Wednesdays from 11:00am - Noon at Life Care Center of Aurora, 14101 E. Evans Ave., Aurora
Registration is required for ALL classes and space is limited! Please show up a little before the start time of the class to get prepared for the class. Our Pass to Pass hikers are off and tackling the first leg of their 72-mile hike along the Pacific Crest Trail, southbound from Stevens Pass to Snoqualmie Pass in Washington state.
The crew is asking the community to help them raise awareness of Parkinson's and critical funds for programs and services which help those with Parkinson's live healthy and vibrant lives. Donations are needed to help the hikers pay for fees, transportation and equipment costs. All other funds will be donated to support the Parkinson Association!
