e3 Conference - educate, empower, energize
On October 9th, at the Denver Marriott Tech Center, over 400 individuals gathered to be educated, empowered and energized through a number of topics that ranged from exercise to care partner collaboration.

We were overwhelmed by the positive responses we received. Participants walked away with a deeper understanding of Parkinson's disease and it's many symptoms. They also came away with specific tools to live vibrant and healthy lives with Parkinson's.

We are deeply grateful to our e3 presenters, who donated their time and knowledge to provide our community with helpful tips and tricks for thriving with Parkinson's. The success of this conference is due in great part to e3 Committee members; for the many hours they dedicated to creating a powerful conference. Thank you also to the day-of volunteers who ensured the conference ran smoothly.

We also want to give special thanks to the e3 Conference Sponsors for making this educational opportunity available to our community:

Reaching Beyond the Limits
Congratulations to two of our mighty Northern Colorado support group leaders, Chris Hageseth, Fort Collins and Tom Hubner, Longmont for defeating Mt. Bierstadt and scaling to 14,000 feet.

Chris and Tom are both 74 years old and each have had Parkinson's disease for over 5 years. Tom's daughter, son-in-law and 14 year old granddaughter made the trek alongside Tom, making for a remarkable photo-op of three generations, spanning 60 years, reaching the top of the mountain together.
On Thursday, October 15th our community came together to Party in the Gallery at the Artwork Network in the Denver Art District.

Event guests tried their luck at Win-aWine and Give-a guess; and purchased vintage postcards for prizes at Pick-a-Palooza during the cocktail and social hour. They also enjoyed music from the live band while sipping the event's signature drink, CherryTini, and tasting passed appetizers. Once guests feasted on a delicious cherry and festively fall themed meal and dessert they played Heads & Tails for a chance to win an iPad Air2, followed by a Live Auction. The party concluded with guests helping to paint the future of the Parkinson Association - to ensure the Association continually adds to it's pallet of programs and services which support, strengthen and empower our Parkinson's community.

We are thankful to all those who joined us for this lively celebration. We are especially thankful to Sally Prindonoff West for providing the signature art-piece, Cherries Jubilee; and for sharing her journey with Parkinson's.
